A visit to Flamingo Gardens would not be complete without a stop in their cute outdoor café near to the tram station and across from the flamingo pond. The café is more of a small open air food stand. Despite their small size they are able to serve quite a few things. At the Flamingo Café you can order cold deli sandwiches made with Boar's Head cold cuts, hot pretzels, hot dogs, chili, nachos and cheese, salads, kid's meals, and delicious fruit smoothies. They have coolers where you can grab a cold beverage or an ice cream. The Garden Grill food truck is usually open next to the Flamingo Café and they have another Asian food truck near the exhibit hall and restrooms next to the historic Wray House for even more food options in the garden. When you eat at the Flamingo Café you are supporting Flamingo Gardens mission to help rehabilitate and care for native Florida animals. Some animals like Josh the Bear will live out their lives here because they are no longer able to survive in the wild. Aside from helping the animals, I don't know too many places you can eat lunch next to a flamingo pond so you definitely can't beat the view. If I am not picking up a drink, smoothie, or ice cream I definitely stop by for a $1 bag of their flamingo food to feed my pinky friends. Help support the gardens by visiting the Flamingo Café.

I actually ordered from the Garden Grill food truck, but paid at the Flamingo Cafe because the credit card machine was down so it must be the same thing. The guy in the food truck was super friendly and gave me extra fries when I asked if the Beyond Burger came with it. Actually, all the staff were super friendly. I wasn't sure if I wanted a cold sandwich, but they didn't have any vegan options besides the hummus and pretzels because they were out of the salad. I wanted a smoothie but when I saw that they use purées instead of actual fruits, I went with the burger. It was definitely worth the $12 and comes with cheese (if you like, I don't), pickles, lettuce, tomato and onion. Definitely a hearty meal; it must have been at least a 6-8 oz patty. There was an event going on at the gardens today and they had other food trucks, Inspir-Asian and Don Mofongo or something. My friends had the shrimp tacos at the Asian food truck because they said the food here was like school cafeteria food. Since there were no vegan options at the other two trucks, I figured I'd try my luck and I'm glad I did. It was far from school cafeteria food! If you're worried about the options while you're here, don't be, you can definitely find some good eats!

Located at Flamingo Gardens Nursery , small indoor shop that sells pastries , smoothies and croissants. They have tables and stools where you can eat indoors in air conditioning or you can take your food and walk outdoors / eat . The food is fresh and delicious ! The smoothies are about $6 . The staff is nice and very helpful , definitely recommend giving it a try . Have gone twice and will definitely be returning .

Excellent spot for freshly made smoothies! The team is so helpful and nice, even when busy (yeah, I had bad experiences when it comes to service from a busy place). The sitting area is supposed comfy and they have so many things to pick from, honey, nuts, salsa, you name it. We ordered 3 smooties: berry blast, green monkey and Malibu. Berry blast has strawberry, blackberry, blueberry and black berry, what a berry bomb and flavorful as well. Green monkey did not disappoint, when a delicious mix of avocado, spinach and almond milk base. Malibu is a mix of banana, strawberry and blueberry. I almost forgot, I had the broccoli and cheese knish and it was beyond words, so creamy and fullfiing, a perfect pastry texture and big enough serving If you are looking for a refreshing and natural smoothie this is the place to go, can't wait to go back and try another of their goodies. Everything was so good that we drank and ate it all before getting a picture, my bad. Trying to get better at it.
